UPLOAD MEDIA
The Media Hub has four ways to upload media. The Media tab will show all of your content. You can upload images from the desktop by clicking to the right where it says "Upload".
The Camera tab will let you include images from the photo booth.
The Embed tab will let you place a video or image directly into the slide.
The Fetch tab is useful when dropping in images using the url.
ADD VIDEO TO SLIDE
Posts can now include video and image files in the same presentation.
From the Media Hub, simply click the “Upload Media” button to load a .mp4 or movie file. Once it is successfully uploaded, you can play it directly from your slide.
ADD IMAGE TO SLIDE
After selecting an image (pink border will show around the image), you can place the selected item(s) to a single slide or multiple slides.
Once it is on the slide, you can freely scale the image by selecting any corner.
Right click on the image to reveal other options.
Click on the bottom of the slide to include a caption in the "Add Caption" box.
UPLOAD MEDIA: FETCH
The Fetch tab is useful for uploading image files directly from your source. It reduces the need for downloading images into your desktop.
As you are browsing the web, simply right click on the image to 'Save Image URL'.
Also, notice the Image Size menu that appears when you select the image. You can crop and resize the image to be at a certain pixel size.
Make sure to cite your sources in the caption.
ADD MULTIPLE IMAGES TO SINGLE SLIDE
You can select several images to be placed into a single slide, allowing you to display relevant precedents collectively.
When you have more than three images selected on the slide, a new alignment menu will appear at the top. This will sort the images to align along the same edge.
Clicking on the corner of the image will allow you to scale the image. The background grid is useful for referencing and spacing.
You can group select images on the slide so that they can move together without changing the spacing or alignment.
TEXT EDITOR
Clicking on the Text Editor icon will drop a default text box onto your slide.
Double click the box to edit text.
Select the text to open up a text editor menu. Using these options you can easily resize, format, style and align based on your needs.
CREATE SLIDE FROM TEMPLATE
Once you’ve started a post and added your first slide, you will see an option to create slides from different templates.
Locate the thumbnail icon at the bottom left of the slideshow window. When you click on Add Slide From Template, you should see different options to choose from. Type into the text box to replace with your own. Drop in images into the gray boxes by simply clicking on Upload Image.

The Hugging Hand is a mechanical toy designed to be used by kids in schools to relieve stress. In its first iteration the Hugging Hand was powered using batteries. The Hugging Hand works when a person places pressure on the handheld device by squeezing their fingers; this causes a one-to-one ratio of pressure to be brought down on the back of their hand this function and allows for someone to feel comforted--as if their hand is being held. The fact that the Hugging Hand was electronically powered was a feature we thought could be improved so we made it our goal to make an improved version of the Hugging Hand that while still having the same function as its predecessor will no longer require batteries.Research shows that holding hands and using a weighted blanket can relieve stress and anxiety and while it would be nice for students to sit in class under a weighted blanket holding hands with their classmate this scenario is in fact unrealistic.
The bubble is a contraption that showcases a man isolated from society. This man has spent months alone in his apartment isolated from the world during a global pandemic. He feels a “bubble” around himself because of the time he has been forced to spend alone. He forgets how to interact with those around him and feels people staying away from him.

Some feedback Amar gave me was to think about my project in a more deconstructed sense. I will do this by going over my story and finding the big message(s) it sends and working off of those. Some other feedback he gave me was to think more about "the more you use it the more the color changes", like the led becomes brighter and warmer the more you use it. Use more bleak/sad/ugly colors at first and then turn them into something beautiful. He also said to be very radical with the project and to try to see how the use of the pencil means and how it relates to the abstraction.
