The 2020 holiday season is going to be like none other. As a result of Covid-19 people all over the world will not be able to take part in their annual gatherings.  For some this will be a hard time to be apart from their loved ones so we found a way to recreate their holiday experiences, Communitree! Communitree is virtual holiday tree decorations that family and friends can use to decorate together.  Each ornament is more than just a virtual object on the tree, but allows for the person who hung the ornament to add a story or message.

 Sharing stories with others is the focal point of our project because it will help bring communities together through belief and tradition. With the state of the world we are in, most of our human interaction comes via a computer screen. The problem with this form of communication is that we lose the personal touch that makes sharing stories special. Communitree can help enfuse that touch back into our life using the magic of the holidays.

Our project is a sledding game so that people who cant sled wherever they are can bring it into their own homes.                                                                    

We chose this idea because not everyone can have a calming and nostalgic winter wonderland wherever they are. This was designed that different elements of sledding and feelings of winter wonderland can be brought right into your house. Some key things we included were trees, snowmen, cabins, and different animals, to make the game as cheerful and calming as possible.

The game is an AR game so that you can sled wherever in your home. You play as a sledder in the snowy hills, where you move your phone around you sled with all of the elements of a winter wonderland around you!

Desktop snow is a mini snow storm right on a desk! With the use of an iphone a person may view the miniature version of a blizzard in virtual reality. This snow storm can be used 24/7   365 days a year. Relying solely on an Iphone a user can experience winter wonderland inside in warmth and coziness. This AR snow storm can be used by anyone with access to an iphone and creates a small soothing effect that is calming, creating a serene moment in time.
