The Satellite
The satellite board game is an interactive two person board game for children to learn about simple circuits and resource management as well as sustainable technology. This game takes place on a satellite with pathways winding throughout. 4 magnetic balls in the interior is moved by a stick with a magnet on the end around to the different locations. When you start the game an led starts blinking and you have to move the correct amount of marbles to the led and hit the button before it stops blinking. If it stops before you finish you lose. The game is played with a partner and whoever lasts the longest wins.
Product Description
Sustainability
The game is made using experimental Bio-Plastic coated wires made by braiding copper wire and submerging a bio plastic and then cutting it out. Additionally if we had more time we would put in real solar panels to help power the Arduino extending the battery lifetime and possibly recharge the batteries when the game is off. The main purpose was to demonstrate the sustainable energy can be used in everything from cars to board games.

Next Steps
- Replace fake solar panels on satellite to real which we think can lower the battery consumption based on that it powers the arduino from around a foot away from a light and an led from 5 feet.
